I'm not a professional writer...I'm not a professional anything....well I may be considered a professional Adam fan....too bad that's not a real job that comes with benefits and a paycheck. Oh the possibilities :) But the thing is I would love to be a professional writer. I love to write and I think I'm pretty good at it. I write part-time for an online site called The Content Authority and it's great. I make a little bit of extra money and get to write about a wide variety of topics ranging from the best brand of adult diapers to finding real estate in Zephyr Hills, Florida. Seriously. It's good practice but the instructions are pretty strict and once I'm paid for the content it is published in places I never get to see and I'm not credited as the author. When I write from a creative place it seems I can only write in the mornings when I have ample time and lately I haven't been inspired OR had that ample time at the same time. Ha. That sounds like an excuse but it's really true.
SO......I'm going to try to just write in my blog and try to get the creative juices flowing or something like that. If you read it great, please leave some comments. If you don't read it that's OK too.
Morning
I've been sick for the past week. I was seriously ill on Thursday and Friday and had to muster up a tremendous amount of 'get up and go' to make myself go to work.....miserable and sleep deprived but I survived the workweek and I'm taking it super easy this weekend so that I can be well for next week. I've definitely noticed that it's a lot harder to shake off these minor illnesses and keep up with life's daily responsibilities when you get older. Oye!
Last night I slept pretty good. I went to sleep with my bedroom TV on VH1. Early morning I found myself gently awakened by a familiar tune....it was Adam singing 'Better Than I Know Myself'. For some reason I looked at my phone...hmmm nope it wasn't coming from my phone. Then I rolled over and looked at the TV. His video was playing on VH1. Smile :) Snuggle into my covers and fall back to sleep.
Sauli's Travel Woes
Poor Sauli! What a horrible thing to happen. I can't even imagine. I've only flown cross-country a couple of times (including connecting flights in horrible airports) and it's quite exhausting and uncomfortable even when things go smoothly....middle seat anyone?
I'm glad that Sauli is being independent and traveling on his own in the US. I think that's important for him and for their relationship. I get lambasted by some Glamberts every time I mention this wild idea but I will continue to stand by my opinion. In my wildest romantic dreams I cannot fathom a long-lasting relationship out of Sauli being a 'kept man' with no personal passions or endeavors. I think that storyline works great in romantic novels but not so much in real-life relationships. Adam said they are working to find a balance and trying to give each other space and that's a good thing. I feel very strongly that Sauli himself is probably adamant about the fact that he do his own thing sometimes and not tag along all the while when Adam is traveling for work. As we've seen he can fly in and be with Adam when time permits. And sometimes he stays home and does his own things. Ultimately it will be Sauli who has to make the most compromise and sacrifice and I have the utmost respect for him for that. I'm excited to see how they manage their relationship as Adam's chapter 2 progresses. Personally I hope he can come along on tour from time to time just for the full experience and I hope he isn't intimidated by the Glamberts LOL. Also so he can keep Adam feeling happy and ~satisfied so he doesn't get lonely or stressed out. But so is the life of a rockstar....it is tour buses and dressing rooms and lonely nights in hotel rooms. This is Adam...this is what he was meant to do and it's a fire inside him and whether or not Sauli is physically with him they always have their emotional connection to sustain them.
Anyway...sorry to get off on that tangent :) Back to Sauli's travel nightmare....it's nice that he was put up in that lovely hotel for the night and I'm sure the upgrade to first class was nice but that's not apt compensation for what he was put through. I saw a website someone posted on Twitter that explains the way passengers are to be compensated and it's very specific in dollars and cents as in he is due to be financially compensated for the value of his ticket times three! I hope he pursues this. I know I would.
I'm glad he finally made it home to LA and Mr. Lambert was quite upset by the incident but now that Adam is home I'm sure they are "laughing bout it". I find it kind of funny that the first time Sauli spends the night in the US somewhere other than LA, NY or Vegas without Adam is in freaking Minnesota. It's also kind of ironic....OOFTA!!
I love Sauli's writing. He's a great story-teller and I love the way his writing is often laced with ire and sarcasm. Although he's been living in the US continuously since July he did live the rest of his life in Finland and the US is apparently quite different. I don't expect the stories of wonderment, awe and 'what the fuck?' to end anytime soon.
Adam's Promo
Wow! Adam's promo trip back East was a whirlwind. So many appearances and performances. So many Glamberts got to meet Adam. Congrats to you all! Now that Adam is back home and the album delay is 'official' I wonder what's next? It seems risky to lose his momentum. I guess we will find out. I'm hoping for a new single to drop soon. I guess for now he needs a few days to rest up and the Glamberts need a few days to catch up :)
Good Eats
Yesterday I made a double batch of this great semi-homemade soup recipe that I made up. Now I have a whole crock full of it for later today. Yummy.
Until next time....have a great Sunday and feel free to leave me a comment below. While I appreciate that everyone has an opinion and you are certainly within your rights to disagree with mine please don't leave rude comments on my blog.
Thank You.
PS: I'm in the process of getting the soup recipe published on Yahoo and I will tweet the link when it is available.
